The CSIRO Marine National Facility (MNF) provides data, samples and research infrastructure – including sea time on research vessel (RV) Investigator – freely to Australian and international scientific communities.
In recognition of these research services, we ask that when you use them, you acknowledge the MNF. This also ensures that you meet your obligations under any relevant agreements with CSIRO, as operator of the MNF, including the Voyage Agreement if a grant of sea time has been awarded to you.
Reporting on the use of data, samples and research infrastructure is a key performance indicator for the MNF. The simple step of acknowledging the MNF enables us to record that the infrastructure is being used, and helps the MNF to continue to be funded to deliver long term marine and atmospheric data and samples.

This allows us to easily track the use of our infrastructure and enables us to list your publication on our website increasing the exposure for your research.
If you’re unsure if we have your publication, please search MNF publications.
Do you have a publication to submit?
